We teach the art of contemplative living and dying while providing a beautiful home and compassionate care for those at end of life – at no charge.

Our Vision

We live in a world where death is not feared, and we live fully until we die.

Our Values guide every aspect of our work and relationships, and are expressed and advanced through the practice of contemplative living and dying.

The Four Abodes of Buddhism

These are qualities of mind and heart that are inherent to the basic nature of human beings:

Loving Kindness towards all: “the wish that all sentient beings, without
exception, be happy.”

Compassion: “the wish that all sentient beings be free from suffering.”

Sympathetic Joy: “the wholesome attitude of rejoicing in the happiness of all sentient beings.”

Equanimity (Peace): “a clear-minded tranquil state of mind. To regard every sentient being as equal.”
