Martin died in our Peach Room after being with us less than a day.
That sometimes happens. When folks sign on for hospice care late in their disease progression – often at the hospital when there’s nothing more that doctors can do for them – by the time they arrive at ABODE, they may die in days…or, in Martin’s case, just hours. We’re always there, to hold their hands.
Martin lived alone, with his two neighbors Karina and Ernesto checking on him frequently. It’s so important to have friends and loved ones close by, especially at end of life.
Martin was under the care of La Differencia Hospice.
