Dolores came to ABODE at the end of February and died a few days later. Dee, as she was called, was in her early 50s and spent her career as an electrician.
Family members visited regularly, including her niece, Stephanie, who recalls spending time at the lake with Dee and her dachshund, Cooper.
“She made the best potato salad,” Stephanie says. “And she introduced me to pineapple and pepperoni pizza. I always think of her when I order it.”
