ABODE’s Book Club and Study Group starts Tuesday, Jan. 24! Join us 6:30-7:30 p.m., via Zoom. We’ll read and discuss When Breath Becomes Air, a New York Times No. 1 Bestseller and Pulitzer Prize finalist.
We’ll meet on Zoom for 6 Tuesdays.
Dr. Paul Kalanithi was a Stanford neurosurgeon when he was diagnosed with State IV lung cancer at 36. One day he was fighting to save people from dying. The next, he was fighting for his own life. He documented his experience battling that cancer and facing mortality in his memoir, which was published after his death in March 2015. The book spent 68 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.
In his book, Dr. Kalanithi dares to ask the big questions: What does it mean to be a doctor and a patient? How can one live a virtuous life? What makes a life worth living?
