The Lost Art of Dying: Reviving Forgotten Wisdom, by L.S. Dugdale MD.

We’re set for 6:30-7:30 pm, each Tuesday evening, starting Sept. 20, 2022. We’ll go for six weeks via Zoom, concluding Oct. 25.

As a specialist in both medical ethics and the treatment of older patients, Dr. Dugdale knows that far too many of us die poorly. Our culture has overly medicalized death: Dying is often institutional and sterile, prolonged by unnecessary resuscitations and other intrusive interventions.

By recovering our sense of finitude, confronting our fears, accepting how our bodies age, developing meaningful rituals and involving our communities in end-of-life care, Dr. Dugdale shows that we can discover what it means to both live and die well.
