Arturo seemed very tired and confused the evening he arrived at ABODE. After some orange juice, our Navigator Sharilynn sat with him and several times he gave her “a look” – many of our Guests can sense their time is near. And our Navigators, like Sharilynn, know just how to “be.” How to bring, as she refers to it, “ease and soothing energy” into that moment.
Arturo died in our Green Room under the care of Pacific Hospice. We were honored to care for Arturo, and we’re thankful for our Navigators for always being a soothing presence for folks in their final hours, minutes and moments.
