Jeff was an Army Vet – so that called for Retired Air Force Colonel Hal Smarkola to come share a few words and a final salute, and present Jeff with a small flag that Hal folded, himself.

In a very sweet coincidence, Jeff knew our founders Edwin and Patsy Sasek when their idea for ABODE was in its beginning stages. How lovely that he could spend his final stretch of life here with us.

Jeff died in our Peach Room, under the care of Compassus Hospice.
