His whole being would light up every time we asked Jack about his beloved Charlene, whom he lost in April. He joined her last December, which is exactly what he’d been so longing to do. Jack passed away quietly and peacefully in his sleep.
At 92, Jack had led a full life. He leaves behind adult children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and they love him very much, too. Everyone did. He had a wonderful career in the oil business, and he was quite the athlete. Jack was an avid tennis player, Senior Olympics high jumper – and he and Charlene participated in long Volksmarch hikes in every state of the U.S.
He greeted each ABODE staff member, volunteer, hospice team member and his friends and family with the sweetest smile, cheery personality and wonderful sense of humor.
